So, one of the silliest things we have ever done, but funnest. Our cousin, Kelton, wanted to take Scottie on a cool hike in Snow Canyon. He wanted us to see the real sand dunes, real sand dunes are white! We carried our lunch, shovels (he informed us we would need them), yummy snacks, and lots of kids. We ended up at a really cool steep hill of snow looking sand. Obviously, it looked perfect for sledding down, or running and face planting into. This other family showed up after us prepared with sledding stuff. They stole our big hill, but in return, shared their sleds. Perfect match! The kids had a blast, including Scott, the biggest kid. It was so funny watching them biff it into the sand. Is sand sledding or snow sledding better? It is a toss up. Sand sledding is definitely warmer than snow sledding but very gritty when inserted into the mouth and eyes. Just ask Scottie, Kelton and Bentley about how sand tastes. Thanks, Kelton, for a great adventure!
Looks like fun! Can't wait to try it out!!!! Where were your pictures Selma???? I'll have to take some when we are down next.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the fun adventure, and for humoring Kelton. It wouldn't have been as much fun without all of you! Thanks for the pictures too! Lets all go back in a week or so, prepared this time!
ReplyDeleteThat looks so fun! Is it worth buying sleds to do it? We've been to the dunes to play, but never to sled! What a great idea.
ReplyDeleteWhere did you find the steep sand hills? How did Rylee keep from falling down the cliff?

We can't wait to come sand sledding with you. Hopefully the sand won't be too hot by the time we get there.
ReplyDeleteThat looks so fun, I'm very jealous:o)
